Mario Suarez, a gifted director, has been abandoned by his wife, Laura. A film about tango is to be the project that takes his mind off of his troubled personal life. During casting, he becomes smitten with Elena, a beautiful dancer who is also the mistress of Angelo, the film's dangerous main investor. The incredible and plentiful dancing, however, is at the center of the film. 3 time Academy Award winning cinematographer Vittorio Storaro won Technical Grand Prize for this film in Cannes in 1998.
