Sometime in the near future, Earth has been ravaged by nuclear holocaust. Water is scarce. Society has reverted to a horse-and-buggy culture.
Out of the ashes comes Nomad, a wandering soldier. He meets his former instructor in the martial arts, Cord. After they share some good cheer, Cord journeys to the land of Meridian.
Then Cord is killed the cruel Sho, and Nomad himself travels to Meridian, where he is allowed to stay with the beautiful Kasha, a humble widow. Nomad sharpens his saber and prepares to defeat Sho.
But Nomad must face an even more menacing figure: Damnil, ruler of Meridian... and the man who ordered Cord's murder.

The desperate farmers appoint Nomad their peacemaker, charged with protecting them against Damnil's diabolic plot to control all the water in the valley. But as Nomad begins to help Kasha's farm, thwarting Damnil's carefully laid plans, he becomes the target of Damnil's savage army, face-to-face with the bloodthirsty Sho, fighting for revenge, honor…and love.
