Plot: Pierce Brosnan stars as the title character in this made for television movie based on Daniel Defoe's classic novel. The film begins as Robinson is fleeing his native England after he killed a man in a duel. Boarding a ship slated to travel around the world, Crusoe braces himself for all the hardship and adventure such a voyage entail. Unfortunately, during the voyage, the ship sinks during a fierce storm, leaving Crusoe as the only survivor on a deserted tropical island. Utterly alone, Crusoe builds a life for himself until a tribe from a nearby settlement begin using the island as a place to practice ritual human sacrifice.
