Claire (Kyra Sedgewick) is a mob hit woman who finds herself in hot water after her boss's (Robbie Coletrane) accountant (Philip Seymour Hoffman) turns the boss against her. With the help of her terminally ill counterpart, Nick (Stanley Tucci), she weathers a series of violent encounters with the henchmen sent to kill her. This violent thriller also delivers doses of black comedy.

Claire is a hard-edged woman who kills for a living. When her colleagues plot to overthrow the boss, she stands by him out of loyalty. Her boss sends her on a mission to find his mistress Kitty, who seems to have purposely disappeared. Accompanied by her boss's trigger-happy son and her longtime colleague, she sets off on her mission. However, when the boss's son is murdered, she realizes she's being framed for the murder.
