 Despite the many memorable gore moments and above average musical score this still manages to be a bit tedious and suffers from haphazard plotting, poor dialogue and a general lack of interest. [read review]

The film is wonderfully photographed... but great atmosphere can't make up for an almost total lack of a plot. In the end, "Gates of Hell" is a pretty good "Zombie" knock off. [read review]
