Despite the many memorable gore moments and above average musical score this still manages to be a bit tedious and suffers from haphazard plotting, poor dialogue and a general lack of interest. -- (TheVideoGraveYard.com)
The film is wonderfully photographed... but great atmosphere can't make up for an almost total lack of a plot. In the end, "Gates of Hell" is a pretty good "Zombie" knock off.-- (eSplatter.com)
For sheer gross out factor, who cant help but be moved by the chick who is forced to spew up her guts - the sounds which accompany this show stopper are gore - rate! --James (Bloody-Disgusting.com)
