Plot: Anna Manni (Asia Argento) is a policewoman trying to capture a vicious serial rapist and killer. The problem is that she suffers from "Stendhal's Syndrome", a psychosomatic disease that gives her dizziness and hallucinations when she is exposed to the sight of paintings and artistic masterpieces. When the maniac lures her into a trap inside Florences' famous Uffizi museum, her horrific troubles begin.

International star Asia Argento portrays Anna Manni, a beautiful detective in pursuit of a savage serial killer-rapist who has been terrorizing Italy. When his trail leads Anna to Florence's famed Uffizi Museum, the investigation takes a violently psychotic turn. Anna is struck by the bizarre phenomenon known as the Stendhal Syndrome, a psychological reaction to artwork that forces Anna into a mysterious trance. An atmospheric horror film from longtime maestro

external linkLush photography and a nice score by Ennio Morricone don't save this overly experimental film from Italy's horror maestro Argento. ... All in all, the film is a huge disappointment. Argento should have stuck to the giallo formula that has worked so well for him in the past.

external linkDon't complain to me that you find the story boring or hard to understand, because I agree. This is one of those movies you have to see to fully understand what it is actually about... 4.5/5

external linkA dull and predictable Dario Argento flick. Lame computer effects and the slow-pace hurts the flick. Has its moments, but overall a disappointment for me. Check it if you're a big fan of Dario, otherwise avoid. 5/10
