Phil Collins in Jungle Book 2, The (2003)

PHIL COLLINS (LUCKY) has achieved significant success on the musical side of animation with his Academy Award and Golden Globe for Best Original Song for "You’ll Be In My Heart" from Disney’s 1999 hit film, "Tarzan." The Academy Award came on Collins’ third nomination, following a 1989 nod for the song "Two Hearts" from "Buster" and "Take A Look At Me Now" from the 1985 film, "Against All Odds." The song "Two Hearts" also earned Collins a Golden Globe for Best Original Song and a Grammy Award for Best Song Written Specifically for a Motion Picture or for Television.

Prior to his work as a centerpiece of comic relief in "The Jungle Book 2," Collins provided the voices of Muk and Luk in the acclaimed animated film, "Balto." The former lead singer and drummer of the rock band Genesis has several live-action film and television series credits, including the title character in the motion picture "Buster," in a supporting role in "Hook," and in a guest starring role in the series "Miami Vice."

"Phil Collins really knocked it our of the park," says Thorne. "He brought so much to the role that he really takes over the moments he’s in."

"Phil’s performance really inspired the animators with his energy, pacing and great comic timing," Trenbirth says. "Lucky is such a wild card of a character, and Phil captured that kind of crazy energy. He’s a hysterical character, and it’s because Phil really made the character.
