Like all Fulcis movies it takes a couple viewings to really appreciate it. The ending gives some amazing moments and there are plenty of eerie realizations.--Sonny Fernandez (Diabolical-Dominion.com)
I personally think it's one of Lucio Fulci's better movies. Interesting story and good gore. Worth a check if you're a Fulci fan or if you just want a good rent. 6/10-- (UHM)
...good opening sequence, the stylish but sparcely spaced gore scenes and a pretty suspenseful axe scene but it's just too boring and weakly plotted to work. Director Fulci shows some style but is defeated by the feeble script.-- (TheVideoGraveYard.com)
If the script had been more logical then what it was, this would have been a much better film. Still, at times this is a truly frightening horror film, despite its numerous flaws, and any fan of Italian horror should see it. Even if you?re not a fan of the ?Italians?, give it a try. You may be shocked! -- (Bloody-Disgusting.com)
